Three floors of exhibitions showcase hundreds of personal belongings from soldiers and civilians; uniforms, flags, military equipment & weapons from battles both famous and obscure; the majority of Lee’s campaign possessions; and images & artwork from the Confederate era. The Museum of the Confederacy is the ultimate experience for students of Civil War history.
Also a top-notch research facility, the Museum in Richmond is home to the Eleanor S. Brockenbrough Archives and the Museum’s collections facilities. The Museum grounds in Richmond house the administrative headquarters for the Museum System and also include the White House of the Confederacy.
