Jackson: Other Depictions 1
Adalbert Volck's brother Frederick spent the war years in Richmond. He created a death mask of Jackson in May 1863 and produced this marble bust based upon it. The original of the bust was on display in the Confederate Executive Mansion during the last years of the war and is in the restored dining room of the building today.
