Do you offer a discount to teachers?
Yes! Teachers visiting on there own receive a dollar off the admission price as well as 10% off materials bought in our gift shop for use in the classroom. We have special group rates for students and teachers visiting on field trips.
What are the student rates?
The student rates apply to prescheduled groups of 10 or more students.
One teacher\chaperone is admitted free for every 10 students. Additional adults are charged $10 for the Museum & White House or $7 for the Museum.
What are your minimum\maximum tour sizes?
To receive full programming we require the group to have a minimum of 15 students and a maximum of 75. Groups over 75 are welcome but may be limited in their programming options.

Do you cover the SOLs?
Yes, our tours and programs are designed to supplement Virginia Standards of Learning (VA.1, VS.7, VS.8, USI.1, USI.9, VUS.1, VUS.7) and can be tailored to meet the specific learning needs of your class.
Do you have a place for our students to eat lunch?
Unfortunately no, we do not have lunch facilities. Many groups eat lunch on the grounds of the State Capitol, 3 blocks away.
Can student groups visit on the weekend?
Yes, student groups can receive White House tours and visit the museum independently on weekends. Depending on the size of the group, audio tours of the museum’s main exhibit also may be available.
Is there bus parking available?
Yes, we have bus parking! We send every group a confirmation packet that includes directions to the museum and map indicating bus parking.
Do we need to make a reservation?
Yes, student groups need to make a reservation with our Museum Education Specialist by calling 855-649-1861 ex. 122 or by e-mail.
