Every second Wednesday of the month, the Museum of the Confederacy and the Appomattox Court House National Historical Park are partnering to bring the Civil War Sesquicentennial to Appomattox. Each month, a knowledgable speaker will lead a discussion on a topic or event's 150th anniversary. The talks will take place upstairs at Baine's Books and Coffee.

The Battle of Brandy Station was the largest cavalry engagement of the Civil War, as well as the largest to take place ever on American soil. It was fought on June 9, 1863, between Maj. Gen. Alfred Pleasonton’s Union cavalry and Maj. Gen. J.E.B. Stuart's Confederate cavalry.  Join Brandon Chamberlain of the Appomattox Court House National Historical Park for this free lunchtime talk.

Admission is free. Lunch will be available for purchase at Baine's Books and Coffee (Outside lunches are not permitted).
