Throughout the Sesquicentennial of the Civil War, the Museum of the Confederacy-Richmond will be hosting a monthly series of talks devoted to a topic or event's 150th anniversary. These talks, normally scheduled for the third Friday of the month, are free for members and Richmond area residents, and are included with Museum admission for all others.
This half hour lecture will discuss the Confederate government’s relations with Mexico both during the Benito Juarez administration and the subsequent occupation of the country by France under the reign of Emperor Napoleon III. Join Museum Supervisor of White House Operations Dean Knight for this lunchtime talk. Bring your lunch to the Museum and commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Civil War.
