Jackson Flag on Display

In commemoration of the 150^th anniversary of Thomas J. “Stonewall” Jackson’s death, and the time when he laid in state in Richmond, the Museum will be exhibiting the flag that draped his casket. This rarely displayed artifact, which was the first recorded use of the Confederacy’s 2^nd National Flag design, is one of the most important single flags of the entire Civil War.
