Lee Takes Command- A special sesquicentennial lecture by Dr. Emory Thomas
Join the Museum of the Confederacy and the Virginia War Memorial for a special lecture given by Civil War author and historian Dr. Emory Thomas. Dr. Thomas will examine Lee as a man and a general as the 150th anniversary of his taking command of the Army of Northern Virginia is commemorated. Dr. Thomas will be on-hand to sign copies of his books, which will be available for sale following the lecture.
This lecture will be free, but space is limited and reservations are required. You can make your reservation by email, or by calling the Museum at 855-649-1861 x121. Please note: registration is almost full. We will try to accommodate you, but can not guarantee a spot at this point.
