Valentine's Day Traditions Civil War Conversation

Every second Wednesday of the month, the Museum of the Confederacy and the Appomattox Court House National Historical Park are partnering to bring the Civil War Sesquicentennial to Appomattox. Each month, a knowledgable speaker will lead a discussion on a topic or event's 150th anniversary. The talks will take place upstairs at Baine's Books and Coffee.

Join Mary Kathryn McIntosh for a program on Valentine history on Wednesday, February 13^th.  This multiple picture presentation features her collection of antique cards with a commentary on the history of valentines, their manufacture, and their social significance in Victorian culture.  Hear stories of both love and early marketing genius.
