Join Chris Calkins, Park Manager, Sailors Creek Battlefield State Park, and Patrick Schroeder, Historian at Appomattox Court House National Historical Park, as they narrate the events of the Battle of Appomattox Station on location.  This 40-acre protected battlefield is under the care of the Appomattox 1865 Foundation.  A demonstration of the Confederate artillery vs Federal Cavalry battle is presented by the 2nd VA Cavalry Co C and Stuart’s Light Horse Artillery.

A reenactment of the surrender of General Lee to General Grant, including their correspondence in the preceding days, with David Palmer as Lee and Tony Daniels as Grant. The event will take place in either the Robertson Room or the Pavilion (weather permitting) at the Museum of the Confederacy-Appomattox. Included with museum admission.

Join Dr. James I. (Bud) Robertson, Jr. for a private reception and presentation at historic Eldon, the Civil War plantation home of the Flood family.  Light refreshments will be served.  Period dress or cocktail attire is appropriate.  Transportation will be provided from the Museum of the Confederacy-Appomattox, 159 Horseshoe Road, Appomattox.  Cost is $15 per person or $25 per couple. General U.S. Grant (Tony Daniels) delivers a monologue on his famous meeting with President Abraham Lincoln at City Point, now part of modern Hopewell, Virginia.

Local historian Albert Carter presents the history of Thomas Bocock, who was born in Buckingham, lived and practiced law in Appomattox, served in the U.S. House of Representatives before the Civil War, and became the Confederate Speaker of the House. Included with museum admission.

Join Robert E. Lee and Ulysses S. Grant (portrayed by David Palmer and Tony Daniels) for a dinner at the historic Babcock House in Appomattox. Both Lee and Grant will be available for conversation and questions throughout the evening. Enjoy a cash bar on the house's deck for cocktail hour, and then a hearty southern buffet dinner.
