Local Lore Badge Day

 

October 9, 2010
Two Sessions:
9:30 a.m. -12:15 p.m. and
1:45 -4:30 p.m.
Cost: $10 per girl
Two chaperones are admitted free for troops with 4 girls or more;
troops with 10 or more girls receive a third free chaperone; 
additional adults pay $8.

Girl Scouts will examine maps to see how the city of Richmond has changed over the past 140 years.
They will learn about Richmond's many monuments, tour the beautifully-restored White House of the Confederacy, take a walking tour to identify different architectural styles in Court End,
and put their own creative talents to work commemorating individuals of Richmond's past.
Space is limited and reservations are required.

Girl Scouts will discover what photographs can tell us about family life, play children's games of the past, dance the Virginia Reel, design a quilt square, create their own period craft (a tussie mussie) and tour the White House of the Confederacy. Space is limited and reservations are required.
