The Museum of the Confederacy's special programs offer our visitors a more interactive, educational, and exciting chance to learn Civil War history than ever before! While many of these programs are offered to the general public, they are also available by request for groups. Please see our Calendar of Events to learn more about our programs for the general public.
Group Information: All programs are in a lecture format except for the Walking Tours and the Kriegspiel (war game). Unless otherwise noted, all programs can be conducted off-site. Approximate program lengths are listed, but most programs can be modified to fit the needs of your group. All programs are delivered by a MOC staff member and are therefore subject to availability.
Group Fees and Payment: Unless otherwise noted, the fee is $50.00 for on-site programs and $60.00 for off-site programs. A travel surchage based on the Virginia mileage rate ($0.55/mile, as of January 1, 2009) is applied to programs conducted outside a 30 mile radius. The Museum is located at 1201 East Clay Street, Richmond, VA 23219. The program fee does not include admission to the Museum or White House. Admission for groups to the Museum only is $4.50 per person, White House only is $5.50 per person; for both it is $8.50 per person. Payment is due one week in advance.
Group Reservation and Cancelations: To schedule a program or for more information, please email the Programs Coordinator or call 804-649-1861, ex. 21. Cancelations made less than 24 hours before the reservation date will not receive a refund. Cancelations must be made three days in advance for the Tea Program and Kriegspiel.
