This themed tour of the White House of the Confederacy will discuss Confederate foreign policy and diplomacy, including attempts to garner recognition from Britain and France, and the relationship of the Confederate government with the United States government.  It will place the Confederacy and the American Civil War in a global context, including discussions on events and people in parts of the world such as Mexico, the Italian peninsula and China. Cost: $10.00 for adults. $8.00 for seniors over the age of 62. $6.00 for youth aged 7 to 13. Free for children under 7.

Molliver Vineyards and Winery, located in Halifax, Virginia, is part of the Southern Virginia Wine Trail. Many of their wines are made from old world grapes. A variety of red and white wines will be offered at this tasting on the Pope Pavilion.

$5.00 per person for non-members, $2.50 per person for members, goes toward the cost if you purchase a bottle of wine (not included with Museum admission).

Every second Wednesday of the month, the Museum of the Confederacy and the Appomattox Court House National Historical Park are partnering to bring the Civil War Sesquicentennial to Appomattox. Each month, a knowledgable speaker will lead a discussion on a topic or event's 150th anniversary. The talks will take place upstairs at Baine's Books and Coffee.

This hands-on program will examine African-American life through reproduction objects and historic photos. Children will try their hands at carding cotton and being a soldier in the United States Colored Troops. Themes explored include slave life, work roles, "King Cotton," the Underground Railroad, the Emancipation Proclamation, and the Civil War Amendments. Families will tour the White House and explore the exhibits. Advance Registration required. Please specify either the morning or afternoon session when you register. Space is limited, so reserve your space early!

Throughout the Sesquicentennial of the Civil War, the Museum of the Confederacy-Richmond will be hosting a monthly series of talks devoted to a topic or event's 150th anniversary. These talks, normally scheduled for the third Friday of the month, are free for members and Richmond area residents, and are included with Museum admission for all others.
