Museum Director of Collections Robert Hancock oversees this game that gives players a chance to experience a unique perspective on Civil war strategy, tactics, and the art of command using appropriate nineteenth century methods.

The format of the game is:

1. A PowerPoint presentation introduces participants to army organization, staff work, elements of strategy, and how the kriegsspiel will be conducted.
