The Museum of the Confederacy- Appomattox is the newest part of the Museum System. Located at the intersection of US 460 and State Route 24 just down the road from the Appomattox Court House National Historical Park, the new Museum is in the perfect spot for visitors. This brand new facility features two exhibits that showcase the Museum’s unparalleled collection to tell the stories of the Civil War. Use the links to the left to get more in-depth information on visiting.

For the past few summers, the Museum has participated in the Blue Star Museums Initiative which offered free admission to all active duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day through Labor Day. After the first year of participating in the program, the Museum has instituted the policy of offering free admission to active duty military and their families year-round.
